This special issue focuses the ionospheric effects on radio propagation. It focuses on all aspects of satellite signals observed on the ground and by receivers on-board satellites, in particular ionospheric electron content and scintillation effects. In this context, the submission of papers on the following topics are encouraged: recent studies and techniques on ionospheric tomography, occultation techniques, assimilation models, distributed arrays of ionospheric measurements, and space weather activities and satellite based navigation and communication systems.
