Measurement techniques in solar and space physics

The papers in this collection provide a broad survey of advances and innovative technologies enabling the next generation in four focused areas in solar and space physics: photons, particles, fields, and optical & ground-based measurements. Papers describe techniques and technologies that support significant advances in measurements that enable the highest priority science advances for future missions. Papers also serve as reference material from which advanced and innovative ideas will be identified and discussed. Topics include instrumentation and techniques to observe the solar environment from its interior to its outer atmosphere, the heliosphere out to the interstellar boundary regions, as well as geospace and planetary magnetospheres and atmospheres. Papers also contribute to the state-of-the-art in instrumentation in order to advance the understanding of solar and space physics.
