New algorithm for direction finding, polarization estimation, and blind calibration for vector-sensors
This paper contributes to the blind calibration problem by providing a method to simplify the existing methods by order of magnitudes. The authors have found a closed-form solution for calibrating a triad of electromagnetic sensors, each having unique gains, phases, and locations, for multiple source Direction of Arrival applications. The computational demands of the new approach are significantly less than that of conventional maximum likelihood techniques currently used for this purpose.
