Large-scale experimental observations of sheet flow on a sandbar under skewed-asymmetric waves
This paper presents new sheet flow measurements on a sand bar under strongly non-linear (skewed and asymmetric) waves sometimes in the near vicinity of the break point. These are among the first experiments carried out in the hydrodynamically complex environment of a bar. The Conductivity Concentration Profilers (CCP) measuring technique is also useful since it offers the possibility to study the sheet flow dynamics over the complete sheet flow profile simultaneously.
